I want to donate
The Institute of Traditional Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is the only institution within a medical school of a national university in Taiwan dedicated to traditional medicine education and research. Our mission is to advance the academic development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and integrate it with modern medical sciences. Over the past 30 years, our institute has published more than 600 papers in international journals and actively participated in academic exchanges worldwide, fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of TCM.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we collaborated with multiple medical institutions to develop and promote ready-to-drink herbal decoctions, such as Jing-Guan Formula and Zheng-Yi Formula, enhancing the clinical applicability and accessibility of traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, our institute has long been dedicated to the research and development of various herbal formulations, including Ganoderma lucidum protein, andrographolide, Chun-Yu Qing-Hua Yin, and Kuan-Xin Yin. These achievements represent significant advancements in the integration of TCM theories with clinical practice.
Establishment of the “Institute of Traditional Medicine Development Fund”
To further academic development and talent cultivation, we have established the Institute of Traditional Medicine Development Fund, which will support the following key initiatives:
- Operational Support – Ensuring the smooth operation of our institute, including research administration, academic event organization, and administrative assistance.
- Upgrading Teaching and Research Facilities – Acquiring advanced research instruments and digital resources to optimize the learning environment and enhance the quality of research and education.
- Support for International Faculty and Visiting Scholars – Inviting renowned scholars from abroad to Taiwan for academic exchanges, fostering collaborations, and broadening the global perspectives of our faculty and students.
- Funding for Domestic and International Academic Exchanges – Providing financial support for faculty and students to engage in academic collaborations with international TCM institutions, thereby enhancing academic competitiveness and expanding research impact.
